Vision Fire & Security sale strengthens company's strong market leadership position

Vision Fire & Security (VFS) has announced the completion of its sale by Vision Systems to Pacific Equity Partners Pty Ltd (PEP), marking an exciting new era of continued growth and expansion into new markets.

The sale by Vision Systems Ltd (VSL) of VFS, its fire and security business, for $248.4 million to PEP was completed yesterday.

VFS Chief Executive Officer, David Lloyd, said he was excited to announce the new partnership with PEP as it would pave the way for an acceleration of growth for VFS.

“We are thrilled to be working with PEP, one of the leading Australian based private equity firms, as it will enable us to build on the strength and quality of the business that Visions Systems and VFS Management have built,” Mr Lloyd said.

“Our new relationship with PEP is expected to enable an acceleration of the growth programs that VFS has identified as well as enable an aggressive program of acquisitions”.

Mr Lloyd concluded, “The outstanding management team at VFS remains in place, along with the entirety of our dedicated staff. For staff, suppliers, partners and customers we are very happy to confirm that our commitment to them remains unchanged and they can expect business as usual with VFS.”

VFS is a global leader in very early warning smoke detection systems (VESDA & PROACTIV), sophisticated video-based security solutions (ADPRO) and voice alarm systems (Millbank).

VFS conducts product development, manufacturing, marketing and administration in Australia, with its sales organisation spread across the world.

PEP manages over A$1.8 billion of equity capital. Over the past three years, PEP has been the most active equity investor in Australia. During this time PEP has completed transactions with a total value in excess of A$2 billion.
