Product Overview
The PROACTIV Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) is a fully-featured panel that integrates with the full range of VESDA air sampling smoke detectors, PRECISION point detectors and a range of ancillary devices.
As the control center of a building's fire protection system, a PROACTIV panel extends the benefits of a VESDA Very Early Warning system, enabling you to:
Detect a fire at the earliest possible stage, buying you time.
Control the situation by using the rich data provided to investigate and manage the risks.
Respond to the event with actions appropriate to the level of threat.
Applications
The PROACTIV panel is ideal for:
- Large campus-style building complexes, where the fire protection systems in many buildings are monitored from a central location.
- Companies with multiple sites spread over a large geographical area who want to centralize the monitoring and control of the fire protection system to ensure a consistent and rapid response to threats.
- Companies who need a VESDA smoke detection system (or who have one installed) and want to enjoy the full benefits of the Very Early Warning offered by VESDA detectors
- Sites that need VESDA smoke detection as well as other forms of smoke detection. For example, a building housing a data center (with VESDA detectors) and offices (with point detectors).
Local or remote system management
PROACTIV System Manager (PSM) is an optional software package that allows an operator complete control across a fire protection system that is based on PROACTIV FACPs. From one PC an operator can monitor the fire protection systems spanning a building, a campus or the world. PSM captures data from VESDA detectors installed in the building(s), as well as data from other devices connected to the PROACTIV panels. The operator can react quickly to threats using real-time information that is displayed on a map of the building(s).The software allows sophisticated remote configuration and troubleshooting of all systems including an audit trail of actions and events.
