How to buy

Product Description

The PROACTIV® Agent Release Module (ARM) provides 2 or 4 supervised agent release outputs that are controlled directly by the PROACTIV System and are used to supervise and activate suppression systems.

The ARM can be wall-mounted inside a surface or recess style electrical Gang Back Box. A tamper-proof slide-in label is used to identify each output.

The ARM is connected to the Ancillary SLC of the PROACTIV Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP). It is supplied with a single expansion card supporting 2 output circuits. A second expansion card (allowing an additional 2 output circuits) can be purchased separately. Expansion cards are mounted on the rear of the main board.

Function

The ARM supports up to 4 programmable, supervised releasing outputs (2 per expansion card) rated at 2.5 Amps at 24 VDC. The output circuit is activated and a visual indication is displayed when an associated zone in the FACP becomes active. A trouble is indicated when an earth leakage, open circuit, short circuit or overload condition is detected.

The ARM utilizes the unique “dual confirmation” activation algorithm to guard against unwanted agent discharge of connected suppression systems.

Operation

Each programmable output has two LEDs: the ‘ACTIVE’ LED (red) indicates when an output is active while the ‘TROUBLE’ LED (amber) indicates a fault condition on the output circuit.

An audible buzzer will sound when a local device error is detected (or when a fault condition on the output circuit is detected).
