Product Description
The PRECISION Sounder Control Module provides the flexibility to add notification circuits to the PROACTIV Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) System. The module which communicates with the PROACTIV system via the Precision SLC provides a single supervised addressable notification output circuit to supervise and control notification appliances such as horns, strobes and bells.
The Sounder Control Module is provided with external power from a UL 1481 Listed 24 VDC power supply. These supplies may be located in close proximity to the sounder module to save on wire gauge sizes or it may come from a centralized power supply and be controlled by the individual sounder control modules.
Function
The sounder control module provides the PROACTIV system with supervised monitoring of load devices that require an external power supply to operate such as horns, strobes and bells. Each module is intended for switching applications involving 24 VDC or 70.7 Vrms Audio max.
Upon command from the PROACTIV system the Sounder control module will disconnect supervision and connect the external supply or amplifier across the load device. Each module provides output circuit short circuit monitoring which protects the external supply from short circuit events. The sounder control module mounts to standard double gang and 4 inch square electrical box hardware.
